Doesnt remind and laggy!

It doesnt always go off and make a sound to remind me, I have mine set to go off every hour and it worked for the first 3 then it just stopped reminding me. Also every time after I close the app my phone will freeze for about 5 seconds and I have a iPhone4S. Im looking for a better one. I found water tracker much better app and doesnt lag.
